Would you introduce yourself beriefly?
I was born in 1977. I am married and father of two children. I have been working for Steigenberger Hotel Maslak Istanbul since 2003.
Would you give me some details about your job?
My job is providing high-class service, introducing our hotel, answering all the questions, helping and making them happy to our guests. It is our goal to providing best service from welcoming to sending.
How many years have you been working at Steigenberger?
I have been working for Steigenberger Hotel Maslak Istanbul since 2003. I worked at F&B department for another hotel, after than that I started to work for Steigenberger at the same position. After a while I continued as a “Bell Boy”. I am still working as a “Bell Captain” at Bell Team.
How do you spend your day in the Steigenberger?
I am working in morning shifts so I’m going through intense days. Lots of groups leave the hotel in the mornings therefore I pick up their luggage and arranging their leaving time by considering their bus hours. We are trying to lead our guests to the restaurants and business districts around the hotel. I always salute our guests with a smile and generously provide all off their needs.
Which kinds of services does Steigenberger provide to make guests feel special?
We are trying to host our guests with a high-class hospitality from the moment they step into the hotel. We try to make our guests feel like at home, it is very important for us. It is our hotel policy. We always take care every need of our guests with a smiley face. Because providing this high-class service to our guests also makes us special.
What do you do to be successful in your job?
I love working. I always try to focus my weaknesses and improve myself. I think it is the big secret to being successful.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of being a “Bell Boy”?
There are many advantages of being a Bell Boy. Actually, we are the ones that introduce our hotel first. We are the best introducers because of the welcoming from the moment our guests take their first step to the hotel room. Carrying luggage is not the only thing that we do. We are communicating for many reasons with our guests.
What are the skills a Bell Boy should have in your point of view?
First of all, he must be cheerful and love his job. He should make the guest feel that he is pleased to serve. Also he should be a problem solver and empathize with the guest. Steigenberger Hotel Maslak Istanbul and its team is one of the most professional hotels that are providing these services.
